KKSECT was established in 2011 on a basis of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of innovation cooperation with the Institute of Industrial Technology «KITECH», South Korea and the ATU https://atu.kz/
On a basis of KKSECT different scientific seminars, conferences and master - classes with participation of scientists from the South Korea chaired by the President of Kazakhstan-Korean Center for Technological Cooperation, Mr. Edward Teykyang Chong are being held as follows:
- for design of men's Song Sa-Jin  products with participation of You Ji Tacka - Manager of the «KITECH» corporation;
- Technology of Park Jeong Soo garments.
Doctoral, Master Degree students conduct series of experiments on a basis of «KITECH» (South Korea) in the field of development of fire-retardant materials and protective clothing against fire, flames and metal splash.
Professors and the faculty of the light industry and design faculty pass the scientific and pedagogical training at the «KITECH» on annual base.
